Met w/ Col. Hazard abt adoption of Swan light by Brush people; intent is to get Brush to give up Swan light, and Hazard will go along w/ whatever Eaton thinks best. Thinks Maxim interest in Gramme Co. will go along also, giving 6of9 directors backing his position. Gives letter. Gives minute details of formation of New England Brush Co. and American Swan Co. Gives list of stockholders in Swan Co. Eaton says Brush Co. prefers alliance with Edison Co. wrt incandescent light; Brush Co. has discovered that they need incandescent lamp to offer with their arc. Gives some detail abt Brush's work on batty and running incandescent and arc lights off same ckt. Detailed account of Eaton's meeting with Stockley on these issues. As a result of this mtg, Eaton changed his mind and won't bring up Brush-Swan matter at Wed. mtg of Gramme Co; wants to figure out way for combination of Brush and Edison co's. TAE can get along w/o arc light, but Brush needs incandescent light.
