Title
[D8226R], Letter from Sherburne Blake Eaton to Thomas Alva Edison, June 6th, 1882
Editor's Notes
"The way Preece gets round his statement that the electric light cannot be subdivided is pretty thin." A Mr. Hoffman of NYC applied through Borden to buy from parent co. licenses for cities and towns "with the intention of reselling them at a profit." Propses to split profit w/ Borden. Eaton says this is a bad idea. At Ex. Com mtg today will bring up terms for granting licenses. Can form companies immy in Toledo, Balto, Lowell, Haverhill and other places if terms fixed. Eaton says next mtg Gramme Co on Thurs; must do something abt Brush situation. Wilber gg take out 23 Edison patents.
