Directors of Eur. co. considered Italian contract; no action taken. "Like most of the papers received from Puskas and Bailey it is unintelligible." Fired Russell. "We must arrange the lighting of the Pearl Street District with some dramatic effect. Johnson and I have had some talk about it." As of today, 75 customers for 1595 lamps signed up. TAE: "explain that me & EHJ going to work there eveyr day" Are Clarke's figures on coal consumption correct; wants to publish in Bulletin. "Complaints against Dean. Still they come." Encloses a complaint.
