- Reached agreement w/ Bailey on contract. Bailey wants to take latest Bulletin and translate into FF for Paris company. Bailey's report still incomplete but Eaton lets it go. Bergmann has bought United States factory; will write this up in Bulletin, "to create the impression on the reader that the United States company have sold out bag and baggage..Read this article in connection with the suit against Maxim, also in the Bulletin, and it looks as though the Maxim business was pretty well played out." Dyer stopped by on his way to Menlo; now has abt 50 more patents to mention in next Bulletin. "This is my last business communication for the present. I am really sorry to go away. But I need it."
