- Title
- [D8227ZBI], Letter from Charles Lorenzo Clarke to Thomas Alva Edison, August 29th, 1882
- Editor's Notes
- "Have you completed experiments in the thermo-static regulator for Roselle so that I can get up the general design?" More on meters; # holes in plates and othe rminutae. Safety catch material; either lead or solder. "Your regulator at Menlo will not regulate the lamps at your house because the wires are not attached there and because of the great variation in the loss upon the conductor. If the initial magnet can be wound differentially so as to regulate at your house by attaching only to a short portion of the line near the regulator the practicability of the system will be demonstrated.."
