- Marshall making duplicate curves and will send them to you shortly. Regular lamps not showing good results. Carbons seem to be good, as well as bulbs and vacuum. We're starting to make the carbons for English patent 4576; cost abt $5 ea. Some details on testing of lots of lamps sent to UK. "Holzer has had some trouble with his glass blowers. Welch, our old carbonizer, how with the American has been trying to get them from us. He succeeded in getting one and we had to raise the wages of the rest to keep them. Bradley has blow pipe and [----] under way so that we can work in a number ofnew hands on day work and let the old men go and then bring prices back. Holzer says he can work girls on all operations in glass blowing."
