- Title
- [D8230ZBW], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, August 23rd, 1882
- Editor's Notes
- Upton is preparing for large increases in production runs. "Our work now has settled in certain lines so far that I feel assured that the tools we now use will continue to be used." List of tools he ordered Bradley to make. Goes into minute detail abt lamp factory operations. Gives justification for incurring this expense now when cash is scarce, b/c will lead to future production efficiencies. Re competition in UK: B lamps would be better from our point of view than making new design.
