"Porter telegraphs if we pay four thousand now and four thousand in six weeks accepting engines as they are he will ship four engines at once. I replied would take engines subject to test. Porter answers engines must be accepted as they are and paid for I don't want to take responsibility on these conditions unless you say so answer and please let me know where I can reach you in case necessary"
