[D8239ZAI], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Samuel Insull, March 7th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Just got your 2 cables about money; can't do anything until Co. is registered and shareholders put up money. You and Fabbri should have established the account to include all my orders. I have no money to give you. Chastizes Insull for failing to include in acct funds for period prior to estalblishment of Co treasury. Co. to be registered Thursday but will be 2 or 3 weeks til treasury established. You should try to get prompt remittance of 20,000 pounds derived from English agreement or get money out of Gouraud (like blood from a turnip), which I’m trying to do for you.
