Title
[D8239ZAR], Letter from Arnold Henry White to Samuel Insull, April 6th, 1882
Editor's Notes
EHJ too busy to reply to yours, asked me to tell you about Domestic Electric Light Co. It's Gouraud's creation; shareholders are just 7 clerks, no directors, no patents, no property, no capital. Gouraud's reputation created impression this was the real Edison Co. EHJ didn't know situation until enclosed advertisement appeared (not found). Want nothing to do with them as middleman company but think they'll make us an offer. Have invited 40 representatives of London press and some NY gentlement to reception on 11th.
