- Thanks for your courtesy during recent US visit. There may be a misapprehension of what I'm credited with, in your letter to Arnold White. Would send you copy of report about my electrical inquiries if I didn't know your dislike for "taffy." Don’t' know what White wrote you, probably about supposed obstacles in England as compared with US. I told him the low price of gas here is obstacle. I told him you were losing money on machines for England. I believe in your system but think it will take much work to be financial success here. Lancashire Co. can't find subscribers (for isolated?) and are blocked by municipality from constructing central station. But investors still have confidence.
