Title
[D8241ZAB], Letter from George Harrison Bliss to Thomas Alva Edison, November 1st, 1882
Editor's Notes
"I wish that infernal Gramme combination had never been made or that the Edison Co had not joined it." Many rival cos "slashing into it" and discouraging business, but nothing is done to stop this, giving impression to public that the combination is too weak to defend its rights, or that their patents are indefensible. Barbed wire patents were vigorously defended and this won the business. "I wish the Edison Co would assume an aggressive position in regard to its patents and go it alone if necessary."
