Title
[D8256J], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, March 11th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Delays in Oriental Telephone matter not due to you or me, but to settling 4,000 telephone question and getting signatures from Scott, Gower, etc,. who are scattered. Have all sig but Scott's, who seems to be a fugitive, but hope to have it soon. Renshaw thinks we can then receive money and shares. Will also need to complete constitution of Telephone Supply Co., already registered for purpose of acquiring and carring out contract for 4,000 telephones. Then distrribution can proceed, and we can divide. Cable cypher for what to do with your share. Says closure of deal is due to his persistence.
