- "I was unable to see Manager of 'Solway Process Co' until today. he says in regard to heating that it is general laboratory work that they will use 'Beaker glasses' from 2in to 6in diam also 'sand-bath.' The chemist has not yet arrived from England is expected latter part of mext mo. Manager says he believed you will understand what is wanted, thinks the mode you represented might do, still there may be some outside heating." [TAE replies: "We can furnish heating spirals for heating any kind of liquid in Beaker glasses. Outside heating can be done by kerosene stoves - Edison"]
