Title
[D8305A], Letter from Houghton Farm, David Pearce Penhallow to Thomas Alva Edison, January 11th, 1883
Editor's Notes
Would like TAE to construct an apparatus that can obtain a continuous record of soil temperatures through a thermo-electric arrangement (Dr. Draper's suggestion); wrote before on the subject to TAE. [TAE replies: "The Thermo is the best. The spot of Light from a Sim Arm Thomson galvanator - can be used to record photographically on a continuous roll the temperature = It has been done -"]
