- Title
- [D8316ABK], Letter from Samuel Insull to Edward Hibberd Johnson, June 19th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- Would like to know what arrangements EHJ has with Sprague; gave Sprague $200 charged against his travelling expenses or his salary; TAE will use Sprague in starting the villages plant but he is very expensive, not like Andrews. Edison went to Chicago to "wake up the people there." Had a conference with Eaton, Hastings, and Borden to consider not accepting anymore towns, have 21 to be canvassed; TAE would like to accept as many towns as possible; TAE thinks they can do 15 - 20 stations simultaneously, worth $500,000 - 750,000.
