Rich on way to Brockton, then Lawrence; wants Lowell and Fall River deals closed so work can begin on all four by the Fall; Hanington locating pole lines for Haverhill; Hodgkinson in Norwich, urges to hurry; have in office canvasses of Pittsfile and North Adams, sending maps so Borden can choose location of central stations; gives order of canvasses: Worcester, Portland (re-canvass)--but only man not available; possible alliance with Samuel & George Elliott for local business in Haverhill
