letterhead: "smith, myers, & schnier/steam engines & circular saw mills/shafting, ----, pulleys, couplings and general machinery/cincinatti", cant make out picture in circular crest ## "We learn from Mr. Steward" that TAE is interested in testing their engine in NY to see if it is up to A&S's standard, if it is, and price agreeable, TAE will purchase 100 or more ## asks for contract to this effect and specific requirements of the test ## TAE marg: "As time is an element and as we have the Armingtons running nearly 2 years we would not give order for 100", would test 2-3 months at Goerck and "if satisfied buy a large lot", back marg=measurements of engines and prices (unclear)
