- In Bancroft's New England territory there is only 1 Maxim installation. The mill which ordered it experienced frequent problems, and asked the N.E. Weston Co. to remove it; they didn't and are now trying to collect the bill due them, which the mill won't do. APPARENTLY TAE SENT OUT CIRCULAR LETTER TO ISOLATED AGENTS AROUND COUNTRY ABOUT MAXIM LAMP: WHY? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE THAT TAE IS CONCERNED ABOUT? LETTERS TO AGENTS WENT OUT ON MAY 16, 1883]
