- Editor's Notes
- WE found that the brushes on the 400 light dynamos at the fair heat badly even though there may be no sparking. Instead of having third brush, please send a set of 4 1200 Light dynamo brushes The brushes at present used in the 400 light light machine are indentical with those on the old L although carrying nearly three times the current. Moore points out that the communtator blocks have mcuh larger this in the samll machines yet the bearing of the brush in not increased in the same ratio. TAE marginalia: "Lousiville has 14 dynamos 'H' 8 of which carry 400 lights each and they say brushes work beautifully and communtator polishes. We make all our tests with the brushes you have Insull=drop a note to Solban ask if there is any differnce between H brush and L brushes if so the Boston Fair Marchines may have had L brushes sent by mistake TAE"
