- Title
- [D8326D], Letter from Sherburne Blake Eaton to Thomas Alva Edison, March 7th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- "We find there is such a boom in real estate between say 36th. street, 43rd. street, 6 avenue and 8th avenue, owing to the theatres, hotels and apartment houses now being talked of in that locality, that we cannot get any real estate anywhere near the centre of that district without paying an exhorbitant price for it, say about $100,000 for 100 feet square, and we cannot get any at that price that is near the centre of the district." This district is from 34-44 sts, Madison to 6th Ave.
