- Title
- [D8332ZAJ], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, April 18th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- "Our financial condition is growing worse constantly. Our orders have been extraordinarily light during the past two weeks," and orders do nothing to draw down finished inventory which piles up. "The worst financial feature is the trouble of getting money due us." Close to $10K in accts receivable. Had to give notes for accts payable. Will cut dn expenses by shorter workweek. Asks TAE for an assessment of $10K "unless the tide turns before next June."
