Title
[D8332ZCB], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, July 23rd, 1883
Editor's Notes
[SELECTABLE?] Regarding enclosed statement, We have partically take in no money except from lamps sales and my loan, and we owe the same amount July 1 as on Jan (June?) 1. # This gives us all the improvements we have made in our buildings and fixtures , machinery and Tools. We've paid taxes, mortgages, charged depreciation at 12%. "Yet we have no cash and are struggling from hand to mouth to meet every little payment that we make."
