Title
[D8332ZDG], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, November 7th, 1883
Editor's Notes
Letterhead: Edison Lamp Co. Mr. Batchelor letter recd. WE have not slighted foreign orders, We have given them the same quality of lamps that we use in this country# We can stand the competiton as to quality. I consider that we have given the Paris CO. in the shape of information what is a good as $50,000 and this is the thanks we get. # in future we hope no information if any kind will be given. # I have just given Holzer $200 for 10,000 [----?] with prospect of its making 20,000. # I think we should let the Paris co. think that they are beating us. WE want some of their lamps. Ps. Tell Batch nothing he cannot help telling if he knows it is my belief.
