- Editor's Notes
- Letterhead of Edison Lamp CO.# I want definite instructions regarding the responsibily in the financial concerns of the Lamp Co.# I am driven by the events of this week.# For two weeks I have been preparing to meet the payments that were due this week by preparing the shipments which would give me funds for this week. # Yesterday I asked Mr. Hastings for money but he said he had instructions form Mr. Insull not to pay any out to TAE concerns until Saturday. When I spoke with Tate I found no provisions had been made for us on the agency account. The liabilties are payroll problems listed below # Will categorically refuse to have anything to do with providing money for running the Edison Lamp Co. unless the following condtions that are agreed upon in writing. The money from Mr Hastings to be under my control, the same as if the Lamp co. was an outside co. # That money due from a T.A. Edison Agent be out promptly # If these conditions are not complied with you will have to make arrangements as to relieve me of my for responsibility for collecting money or meeting liabilites. # If these conditons are granted will accept full and personal responsibility for all expenses incurred in running the biz. I am inclined to help because so much money involved and so much of MY money is invested in factory.
