Letterehead of Duetche Edison Gesellschaft 3 German letter with translation following. # WE are credityou the amount for bill 1 dynamo for 50 lights , 1 dynamo for 25 ligjts $435. # We request you to tell us immediately what is the lowest price you can give us those engines f.o.b. new York if we order 25 of each of both kinds at once. # You know that the prices you give us are intended for Mr, Siemes and Halske .Therefore please make your calculation as closed and your prices as low ae possible. TAE marginalia " Our co here have stopped selling 25 light machines as they find it does not pay to send a man a great distance and stay there same time the 50 light is the lowest they sell we are not going to make any more 25 light, we quote 50 light".
