- [D8337ZGB], Letter from Societe Industrielle Commerciale Edison, R V Picou to Thomas Alva Edison, December 29th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- 5 pages questions about lamp-making processes and observations from Paris factory. Most concern variability of volts; lifetime, etc. Good TAE marg to quote: "It is impossible to describe how we make a days run within 4 volts except by stating that it depends entirely on absolute accuracy in all the process & in doing each thing exactly the same every day." Their voltages run 92 to 112 volts, about 5% variability. TAE marg: 15-20% is very good." TAE also refers several specific questions to Upton for reply or infor.
