Title
[D8340ZCL], Letter from Abraham S Kissell to Thomas Alva Edison, August 20th, 1883
Editor's Notes
[from Nashville] Enclosing article from "Artisan" Regarding an Artcile published in the Artians about the debate regarding the merits Brush lighting vs. the TAE light . Some of the points that were made were that the Brush people charged too much and the influential pple got an injunction against the Brush company. There is now a municipal election, expected to go against Brush people. Also the Brush company did make good impression with their swan lamp at the exhibtion at he Maxweel house. Also metnions that Palacki tennesee organized a $20,000 a gas, hydrocarbon gas, made of kersone started a year ago and got a 10 year contract, but the overall publci sentiment is in our favor. TAE marginalia "Maj Eaton can you send him electros and some taffy? K can write the article--he has electrotypes. E"
