Title
[D8343N1], Letter from Frank Julian Sprague to Thomas Alva Edison, July 30th, 1883
Editor's Notes
"Note: since it is desirable that there should be a similarity of direction in the handles of the main and field switches that in both should be [paper ripped] the left in both to right, the connection to either main ir field switch should be reversed but only in one. See connection in main switch. Otherwise everthing satisfactory. Do not think there is any danger in breaking a field. Would suggest a locking main and field switch for spare dynamo such that the field could only be made broken when the main is open."
