- Title
- [D8344ZAG], Letter from Harris and Robinson to Thomas Alva Edison, November 9th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- response to TAE's telegram asking meeting in Southington to be changed from Mon to Wed. This meeting, however, had been scheduled for Monday to accommodate the town's wealthiest citizen and potential investor, Mr Neal, who is characterized here as "our main dependence"; thanks him for Danbury estimates; now need estimates for Waterbury and elsewhere. Mentions a company "with good prospect of getting" the city's street lighting contract - they already have a plant and "have raised money to put in" another plant; this company also claims some legislative charter to run wires underground
