- "Enormous" breakage of lamps here, but last 100 standing up better. May have been running them too high. I've reduced light, drawing complaints, but that's the only way to make biz pay. 9 of 10 lamps burn out about 1/4 above clamp; possibly from rapid vibration of carbon, which is visible (sketch). If we're wired for 10% loss & 500 lamps, what's proper voltage for 100 lamps? 30 lamps? Need higher voltage lamps or else use German Silver resistance. TAE marg: Have written to him about this.
