Title
[D8416AIN], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to William Symes Andrews, January 30th, 1884
Editor's Notes
Must have inside wire joints soldered. Re: hours of operation, "It is very important that in every plant up to 1600 lights, there must be one engineer who does his own firing"; it's still less work than required of ordinary factory engineer. Station manager is to keep the books, collect bills, etc. It's "fatal to start the station with an extra man or help of any kind."
