- Title
- [D8416AJB], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Spencer Borden, February 4th, 1884
- Editor's Notes
- [indication of hard economic times, at least in textiles] "What are the prospects for closing up Worcester? The Isolated Co are doing a big business in New York, they are having a run on large wholesale and retails houses isolated plants. They have got Arnold Constable, Dry Goods, Park & Tilford grocers, Stern Bros dry goods, Columbia College, etc. Can you not shape your force in this direction as the mill people are so hard up. How about Harvard College."
