[gives EELCo terms for Village Plant installations; to pres of Brush-Swan Co of Norfolk VA] Yours of 30th rcd and referred to EELCo. The EELCo will refuse to operate under any name other than Edison. Declined to work with Fuller interests in Harrisburg. "In most cases parties have organized a separate company in the interests of the Edison light, and have then arranged with the Edison contractors to put both systems in one station in order to effect an economical management. The EELCo charge 25 percent of the capital of the Edison sub-companies for the license, no matter whether the capital is actual or watered. One fifth of this amount is payable in cash, and the balance taken in stock. They derive no profit from the machinery or other supplies necessary for the installation of the plant, but have arrangements with other parties who take th econtract of installing the plant complete and operate same for 30 days...."
