Title

[D8416AJX], Letter from Samuel Insull to William Symes Andrews, February 5th, 1884

Editor's Notes

[SELECTABLE] "In reply to your letter of the 3rd inst I beg to say, that we have at last got the indicators all right by using the same things as at the Central Station; putting present indicator in bridge and using decrease and increase of resistnace lamps to give deflection. This is perfectly constant as is proved by a year and a half use. We get about 3/4 inch deflection for each volt, and it is a zero method making it independent of outside influences. We shall alter all the old indicators to conform with the present new and improved method."
