Editor's Notes
Yours of 5 Feb and 27 March received while I was away. RE: the C dynamo, send you separately blueprints of drawings for modifiying the present engine, also letter from Machine Works explaining the modifications, also copy of test results on two machines we've altered. We used on the field magnets exactly the same wire as originally. This was to keep costs down; in order to get proper volts, we have altered field regulation mechanism. RE: your request for info on 3-wire system, "it is possible to connect thte 3 wire system with the 2 wire system, yet it is not practical on a small scale. If you are going to install 2 or 3 times the amount of conductors you now have, I would strongly advise you to adaopt the 3 wire system; and I think I could then arrange to alter your present two wire system over the three wire system." Can't explain in writing the calculations for conductors; we'd have to send someone over. Have already shipped you dynamos with extra armatures. Making and shipping you lamps quickly as possible. Misc. stuff about past shipments & charges. Quotes price for 25,000 lamps.
