Title
[D8422Q], Letter from Gardiner C Sims to Thomas Alva Edison, February 18th, 1884
Editor's Notes
We have several orders we can't fill on time and need the Shamokin engine back. Please wire us if we should send a man at your expense to return the engine or send it to 97 Sixth Ave. At to the complaints about the regularity of the engine, we are about to make it impossible for your men to screw down the regualtor springs and ruin them for further use. We are testing and would like you to send a man to inspect our work. To make changes in the speed of our engines, hereafter, it will be necessary for your men to take our regulator to pieces and taking certain parts of it to a machine shop and make some changes. We hope you won't. Your first Central Station engine is finished, hope to shipp Thursday after testing. P.S. Please clarify pulley order for Bellefonte.
