In reply to TAE's of 15th inst. I submit the following table proposed bhy Howell. 500 lamps burned at constant pressure and giving an average life of 600 hours would probably break as follows. The lamps being renewed as broken. [Table of Total Hours run and Total Lamps broken, with comments follows]
