- We have received a letter from one our customers giving quotations of your list of prices for your newest type of dynamos quoted from F.O.S, in NY. This list exactly tallies with the list which you sent me for the indian and colonial company shows the exact price that we add to charges to make up a selling price ( this could be awkard). I don’t think that the public should see this part of it. Difficulties have arisen in connection with "edison Hopkinson dynamos." The English Edison company had made a agreement with Dr.Hopkinson for the use of his machines. The machine is far from perfect and it is leading us into trouble. It cannot be relied on but we are still bound by the agreement made by the company.
