Title
[D8459H], Letter from William Symes Andrews to Thomas Alva Edison, October 5th, 1884
Editor's Notes
Started W'port station last night--"perfect" with no flickering. Buckeye engine regulates better than the A&S. Flat rods for omnibus conductors looks good; make connections with half inch bolts into the copper--no soldering. Like the new style 400 amp machine---requires less attention and oil than the faster dynamos, though its loss in field is higher.
