- [D8465K], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Samuel Insull, March 3rd, 1884
- Editor's Notes
- Handwritten. Mrs. B to write Insull about letting him a room before she goes to Monte Carlo. "she will let people know how many pairs silk stockings you bought, etc., etc., etc." Treasury envelopes rec'd. Glad TAE on holiday, wish for same but "getting a tour with [Secretan?] here has altered my plans.... He thinks of starting it at 15 or 20 millions instead of ten. He will immediately double up the lamp factory here & he says he will make a million lamps per year." Might start more than one Central Station in Paris at once. Am explaining New York system. May go on Oregon on the 16th.
