Letterhead: "Lowrey, Stone & Auerbach, Attorneys". Enclosure: "a letter from Messrs. Hale & Walcott which will sufficiently explain itself." Letter requested "modest" retainer. "Messrs. Hale & Walcott are the sort of lawyers whom Mr Edison should be glad to have serve him at any bar.... such men must be promptly responded to and strongly supported."
