- Editor's Notes
- [Written on a Western Union Telegraph slip, but does not appear to have been sent as a telegraph.] Believe you knew Jimmie Leonard well. I don't think I have misrepresented him in anything I have said in his favor in this Circular or in the Telegraph Journals. I know he was a good, true, and noble Christian gentleman and a devoted friend. "And if God had spared him," I think he would have done well in the profession, like TAE. "God grant you may live long to enjoy yours, and each year add fresh laurels to your [----]. I believe the 'Boys' will help us in this grand cause." Asking if TAE will "join and aid use" for a dear friend that has "gone before," and "I would like very much to see it accomplished before the High 'Chief Officer' takes the '30' call for yours{?}."
