- [Letterhead of the Society of Amateur Photographers of NY] Talked to a man last evening at our meeting about electric lights, and he said he "went over the whole ground" at Yale College and carried on experiments. He could not get two galvanometers to read alike and the battery was very uncertain. I assured him you thought it could be done; I only mention this as one of the difficulties to be considered. "I hope you are still working to get our light in order."
