Title
[D8531ZAJ], Letter from Edison Machine Works to Samuel Insull, 1885
Editor's Notes
Writes to state that it is impossible to list prices of their material because of fluctuations in the market. The prices will be regulated in line with the terms of the contract with the Light Company. Also provides advice on the Callender Company's guarentee of faults in their cables. Includes a suggestion that the Callender Company include a certificate each time they lay cable for the Edison Machine Works stating that the work was done properly and if repairs are needed they will be done. The same rule applies to work the Edison Machine Works completes for Callender. Includes suggestions for setting prices with the Callender Company and a clause saying that the Edison Machine Works can use any cable they see fit.
