- Editor's Notes
- I have been expecting your [----] as you promised to look over our affairs. I think we shall have to put in another small note in the bank this week. I have been trying to collect money Saturday, yesterday, and today to take care of the two notes coming due this week and the payroll. I have managed to get enough to take care of notes due tomorrow, but there is another due the next day. I will try to see whether I can get in enough tomorrow for that. Whether I do or not, it will be necessary to put in a note in the bank for the payroll this week. ##[------] [---] it would be as well to look into our affairs, it seems very strange to me that both you and Batchelor have for a long time acted apparently so indifferent to the affairs of this Co.
