Title
[D8535ZCI], Letter from Louis Rau, Compagnie Continentale Edison to Dyer and Seely, December 21st, 1885
Editor's Notes
We received yours of the 9th inst in reply to which we say that on the one hand, the Canadian certificate which you sent to us at the time will, we are afraid, be of very little value to us if we do not receive the complementary certificate which we have asked for in our letter of Oct 9, addressed to TAE, to which we have no answer. ##Please address yourself for your claim to TAE, as in fact it concerns his prinicpal and fundamental patent, and we do not see why this Co. should bear the cost of this Canadian certificate which is only necessitated by the negligence of the patent agents who were at the time in charge of TAE's patents and quite particularly that of Brandon, whom you mention in your letter and who is the main cause of all these difficulties. ##In our Oct 9 letter, we told TAE what our lawyer says of the Canadian certificate which was sent to us and we cannot even understand how we can be asked to pay for a [--------] which is quite incomplete.
