Title

[D8546ZAV], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Thomas Alva Edison, October 3rd, 1885

Editor's Notes

Explains delays occasioned by customs; on Dwight's suggestion, shifted the test line for the phonoplex from Toronto-Hamilton to Toronto-Ottawa (along Grand Trunk Railway) because there were not enough stations on the former to accommodate the number of instruments. Lists stations--some to be equipped with phonoplex, others with condensers only. Line should be working Monday; will forward information on Canadian telegraph lines shortly. "Have you tried Fuller cells on the Motograph and with what result?" [MARG.: "We should use fuller cells in the motogh Motor if we can get them--]
