- Simmons "telegraphed you at Chautauqua last Monday that he would carry out the arrangement on his part"; did you receive the dispatch?; "I suppose you will reach N.Y. about the same time this letter does"; Porter has returned from sea shore and is at Geneva Lake; Simmons has written to [Mr. ?] & will hear from him once he returns to Watertown or New York; will prepare draft contract and send it to you as soon as Simmons and Porter consult; has there been progress with our headlight; when can we expect it; Wheeler, ? Supt, is interested in it. Doodles and a technical drawing are on the reverse of this letter.
