- Yours of the 23rd in regard to "Palmetto roots" received the 27th. I at once hired two men (one man and a boy) to commence work. Yesterday, they were out prospecting and they find that the only way to get palmetto roots succesfully was to get them along the river bank, where the water had washed in under them. I send you by this mail a bundle of 50 Cabbage Palm roots. Can get the Cabbage Palm roots with less trouble and expense than the scrub palmetto.
